Mobilink Super Engineer Competition is one such platform via which students have the opportunity to gain insights from industry professionals. This exposure will help them in their academic as well as professional career.

Being a mentor I am excited at the prospect of working with fresh talent and hope to help them in whatever capacity I can. I am thrilled at their energy, exuberance and drive to outshine fellow competing teams. ”

“ It is indeed an excellent experience interacting with students – observing their efforts, guiding them as to what could bring efficiencies and effectiveness in their project implementation.

Interesting part is to change their approach from ‘make it working’ to ‘make it efficiently working’.

Students will deliver working prototype of the concept within given timelines, and provided they managed to deliver components’ from abroad – it will be excellent.

Disaster recovery and solutions to address disastrous situations is a key area where technology needs to complement human efforts and this is probably a good step in drawing attention towards this area for organizations like NDMA. ”

“ When I found out about the project I am mentoring – Improvement in Agricultural Information Flow using web enabled Mobile Phone Networks – I immediately liked the project idea.

Firstly, it is meant to benefit our rural population who usually belong to lower middle class and are not very literate. Agriculture is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy and we need to modernize our methods to increase growth.

Secondly, the project involves giving information to the farmers in their native language, which is another positive aspect of this project. The farmers would feel more comfortable in seeking information. ”

“ I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of this project. It is surprising that students nowadays have in depth awareness of subscriber retention and their commercial importance.

I am expecting the team to keep their heads down and think of every obstacle as wind beneath their wings. I am confident that they will come up with a great project proposal.

It’s application in Telco will help in identification of “key” subscribers and control subscriber churn. In today’s competitive market such advantages may prove to be more than ordinary. ”
