Firmware for your servers and server options are now available through the ProLiant Firmware Maintenance CD. Alsoaccess the latest and a more complete set of firmware from the Software and Drivers download pages.

• Software and PSP UpdatesProLiant Support Packs (PSPs) help you maintain the software versions on your ProLiant servers. ProLiant Support Packsare operating system (OS) specific bundles of ProLiant optimized drivers, utilities, and management agents. Thesebundles of software are tested and released concurrently with HP's SmartStart CD to insure proper installation andfunctionality. Best Practices to consider

• Determine a PSP/Firmware strategy – frequency and approach - within the supportwindow of current and two releases back

• Take note of some items – still may need manual process (certain HBA and disc)

• Use ITSM structure – formal change, review, and etc

• Establish method to track/measure environment (SIM, VCA, or others)

• Always check compatibility and release notes

Perform a clean reboot PRIOR to any firmware or PSP updates
