Unilever is a British-Dutch multinational consumer goods company co-headquartered in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and London, United Kingdom. Its products include food, beverages, cleaning agents and personal care products. It is the world's third-largest consumer goods company measured by 2012 revenue, after Procter & Gamble and Nestl. Unilever is the world's largest producer of food spreads, such as margarine. One of the oldest multinational companies, its products are available in around 190 countries.Now we will analyze five Unilever products Marketing Mix. The products are:CloseupLifebuoyAxe Body SprayClear ShampooBrooke Bond Taaza.

What is marketing mix?The set of controllable tactical marketing tools- product, price, place and promotion that the firm blends to produce the response it wants in the target market. Themarketing mix definitionis simple. It is about putting the right product or a combination thereof in the place, at the right time, and at the right price. The difficult part is doing this well, as you need to know every aspect of your business plan.

A marketing expert named E. Jerome McCarthy created the Marketing 4Ps in the 1960s. This classification has been used throughout the world. Business schools teach this concept in basic marketing classes.

ProductThe first thing you need, if you want to start a business, is a product. Therefore Product is also the first variable in the marketing mix. Product decisions are the first decisions you need to take before making any marketing plan.Unilever have a number of products in the market. They bring various types and different size in their products.

Closeup is the number 1 toothpaste of Bangladesh and the first gel toothpaste of the world. It has some different flavors like Menthol, Mint, Ice White, Red Hot etc.

Lifebuoy, the largest health soap brand in Bangladesh, aims to help 160 million Bangladeshis meet their health and hygiene needs. It is a household name remembered in every corner of the nation.

Clear is a brand of anti-dandruff shampoo produced by the Unilever group. The brand was launched in 1981 and sold under the Clear name in most certain global countries,

Axe has become one of the worlds most popular male grooming brands, by being a guys best first move. Cool, adventurous and never dull, Axe is designed to keep guys a step ahead.

Brooke Bond Taaza stands for premium quality and refreshment, bringing in the worldfamous tea blending expertise and heritage of the Brooke Bond House.

2.PricePrice is the amount of money expected, required, or given in payment for something. Price sometimes refers to the quantity of payment requested by a seller of goods or services, rather than the eventual payment amount. This requested amount is often called the asking price or selling priceAll of the unclever product have different price tag. Closeup & Brooke Bond Tazaa has number of product price in terms of their product size. Axe decide their products price depends on the country and continent. On the other hand Lifebuoy and clear makes different types of product like Stander & Minipack with small price.

3.Place:Place includes company activities that make the product available to target consumers. In the marketing mix it refers to the channel, or the route, through which goods move from the source to the final user. Place could be the intermediaries, distributors, wholesalers and retailers. Description: The right place means greater chances of sales over a longer period of time.Almost all of the Unilever products we can find in the Local Shop, Supermarket and in Online Market too. There are many local shops in cities where we can get this these products. People with lower income prefer these types of Local/small shops. On the other hand people who belong higher stander the usually buy these products from Supermarket or Online Shops.

4.PromotionPromotion refers to raising customer awareness of a product or brand, generating sales, and creating brand loyalty. It means activities that communicates the merits of the product and persuades target customer to buy.Unilever has various promotional activities based on their products. They make Television Commercial. They makes Television Drama named that sponsored by closup. Clear Shampoo makes Cristiano Ronaldo as their brand ambassador who use to act on clears TVC. Brooke Bond Tazaa has catchy commercials are aired on television, radio, newspaper, and magazines. Lifebuoy promise their customer that they provide better germ protection than other soaps. Here is a billboard on it.
