Why are Safe Spaces necessary?
The MissonThe mission of the Safe Spaces Project is to work with community-based organizations to:
•strengthen and create welcoming spaces•share and assist in the creation of resources that foster the development of LGBTQQ Youth
• Organizational Development• Programmatic Development• Training of Youth Trainers• Build a Network
Core Work
Safe Spaces provides a variety of capacity building services including: board development strategic planning financial management coaching
Capacity building is performed by Safe Spaces staff or, in some cases, by vetted consultants with experience with small organizations
We customize our capacity building to your circumstances.

Program Development
To support LGBTQ youth as independent leaders SSP provides T4YT that includes:
All 3 SSP Cultural Competency Trainings A minimum 1 day T4T session•Dealing with homo/transphobia and adultism in training space•Exploring power & privilege in relation to LGBTQ youth•Take away training tools
Training of Youth Trainers
