Our four priorities:1.

In the next three years…

New housing developments at Kingswear, Torpoint, Marksbury Road, Filwood and Lockleaze.

Phase 1 of a major regeneration scheme at Hengrove Park.  

Expanded Park and Ride Services and Resident’s Parking Schemes.

Roll out the Greater Bristol Bus Network.

Action on traffic congestion, including: new expanded Urban Traffic Control Room; stricter parking enforcement and installed variable message signs.

Enhanced rail services, including: increased services on the Servern Beach line and improved station and information services at all stations.

Completion the £20 million foyer complex at Colston Hall.

Museum of Bristol opens.

Maximised recycling and re-use / reduced the amount of waste generated,

Reduced CO2 emissions – reduction of 60% by 2050.

In the next three years…

Improved efficiency through commissioning.

Increased customer and resident satisfaction with our services.

Raised attainment at all keys stages and at 19.

Improved attendance and reduced exclusions.

Reduced the number of children in care.

Reduced offending and re-offending.

Provided 24 new Children’s Centres.

Extended very sheltered housing. 600 homes in VSH and expand other supported living.

Developed self directed care.

Widened opportunities for older people. “Putting People First in Bristol” programme.

Developed linkage hubs.

In the next three years…

Reduced crime overall by at least 20%.

Tackled the most serious violent crime.

Increased uniformed presence on the street – an extra 42 PCSOs.

Supported victims of rape and sexual assault.

Reduced burglary.

Tackled anti-social behaviour.

Reduced the harm caused by alcohol and drugs misuse.

Reduced the rate of reoffending in the city.

Increased opportunities for active travel.

Promoted healthy eating and reduced obesity.

Reduced smoking and exposure to second hand smoke.

In the next three years…

Successful citywide network of Neighbourhood Partnerships.

Improved the quality of maintenance, cleaning and repairs.

Tackled fear of crime in neighbourhoods, including reducing response times to graffiti removal by 25%.

Improved parks and open spaces, including the delivery of a £1.5 million Parks Improvement Plan and £12 million renewal of the docks infrastructure.

Improved local services and facilities, including: major refurbishment programme at six libraries and new libraries in three wards; £2 million investment in play facilities across the city.
