“A creative change agent, adept at integrating concepts, process improvements, with People, Process & Systems. Multi-functional understanding, with strong Financial Acumen. Operating Cost and Margin Improvement focus will allow me to rapidly sniff out operating inefficiencies and systemize/improve processes”.

Jim Biel’s brings robust management and leadership experience, grounded from a strong financial background in both Public Accounting and Corporate Finance, to his roles in Supply Chain Management. Jim brings a diverse blend of experience working with small to large entities, including his experience with a regional CPA firm servicing small business, consulting with small and large companies, and holding various Supply Chain and other management roles with mid-size to large firms. He has developed a reputation as a creative problem solver who can take virtually any situation, diagnose it, develop a solution, and implement the improvement. The value Jim brings to an organization is his ability to quickly assess operational and supply chain situations, looking for both short-term and longer term improvements, both in the economics of the business (cost structure, margins, working capital), and the core processes utilized to plan and manage the business through business process improvement (leading to effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity improvement). Jim understands that change and improvement doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Rather it requires working together to develop robust solutions and leading the team through the change. This is a big part of Jim’s success in organizational and process transformation drawn from his experience as a Corporate Trainer. An experienced conference speaker related to S&OP / IBP / IBF integrated forecasting and planning processes and implementation, Jim has also authored white papers and other content related to these processes. He has also provided consulting services for small to large entities, including helping a solar panel start-up craft their pitch to potential venture capital investors. Jim has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Indiana University-Bloomington, IN, a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ball State University (Muncie, IN), and a Project Management Certificate from Loyola University (Chicago). Prior to entering the corporate space, Jim practiced Public Accounting for 4 ½ years with McGladrey (CPAs), providing audit and other financial services to small and mid-sized companies in Northwestern Indiana and Southwestern Michigan. Jim enjoys hiking, bicycling, and volunteering for key causes of importance to him including, supporting a local food bank, literacy, and serving as a Chamber of Commerce Board of Director for a Hispanic Chamber in Santa Fe, NM.
