IS IT REAL FIRM WOOD?

Be careful while purchasing furniture. Just because someone tells it's "solid wood" does not signify it's good. Particle board and MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) are still "wood" but they are not what you conceive. They're very difficult to fix and much heavier than "real" wood. They'll NOT endure if under heavy use. Always demand, "Solid what wood?" Furniture marked Solid Oak or Cherry or Ash is a better bet.
