Sensors can measure a great variety of things. Use the Innovation Canvas Sensor cards to visualize how certain processes can be optimized, or design your own type of sensor.

This is where the real work starts! Use your database to store the output of the sensors and monitor it in real time. Connect extra sensors, devices, or data to automate or predict required actions.

Think carefully about what kind of output you want to collect from each sensor. Have a look at the back of the Innovation Canvas Sensor cards for some suggestions.

Use ‘if-this-then-what’ algorithms to further smartify your data. The If This Then What cards will help you to set up the algorithm. Add streaming data from relevant business processes and open databases, such as the local weather, to further smartify your own data.
