Hiring the Professionals for Your Market Research

Introduction
In the last slides, we have looked into whether you would like to have a market research.After some long debate, perhaps you have decided to go forth with having a market research.It’s really the easy way out to leave all this mess to a professional, but make sure you are aware of what good they would bring to you before you really hire one.
Maybe you need them because…
They are much more experienced.
Being a professional, these people will have the required contacts, skills and knowledge
to do a complete research. From their experience, they can help you to get to the right audience, ask the right questions, and may have
better access to people in the industry to get some insights.
Maybe you need them because…
Appropriate methods are less likely to be misleading.
With the necessary skills and knowledge, these people definitely have more ideas as
to how to complete this research with results that are as truthful and
proper as possible. Also, because of our desire to get certain information, we may become sidetracked to focus on the wrong things and make mistakes, and sometimes these
mistakes can be costly.
Maybe you need them because…
They give a third person perspective and are less biased.
One of the rules a professional most definitely have to adhere to is the need to
be neutral and free from bias. In that way, you can trust these companies
to stand on the fence to give you a clear view of the whole situation, with results
that are supposedly unaffected from unnecessary influences.
Maybe you won’t need them because…
They are more likely to give a negative response.
As it is their duty to give an all rounded answer, it is usual if the answer they provide is prudent and diplomatic, which is very likely a ‘No’, so that if you choose to pursue this venture, it is not because they encourage you with a positive market research
result, but you choose to do so at your own risk. But, really, is a market research going to put you off
something you have invested so much time and energy into?
Maybe you won’t need them because…
It can be costly especially to a small scale company/start-up.
The professionals will most likely be able to provide you a full scale service that covers you from
head to toe, and naturally that will come with a high price as well.
It is really debatable whether you want to let them help you at such a high cost when the benefit in
return, may not be as useful as you thought.
Maybe you won’t need them because…
They may not fully understand the
information required.
They are a third party from your venture after all, so they might not absolutely comprehend what is it that
you really want to look into through the research. There may be issues such as
miscommunications or misconceptions, and that can be quite tedious to manage to get them
understand your perspective.
In Conclusion…
The fear of getting wrong results will really taunt you into hiring these professionals, but
bear in mind that market research sometimes does not
need to be that complex.
The most important thing is to know what you need.
If you think you just need a small little feedback from the market instead of a full scale
