What is growth hacking?? Growth hacking is a marketing technique developed by technology startups which use 

creativity, analytical thinking, and social metrics to sell products and gain exposure.

It can be seen as part of the online marketing ecosystem.

Some of the examples in which it is used are engine optimization, website

analytics, content marketing and A/B testing.

Focus on low-cost and innovative alternatives to traditional marketing.

Important for startups, as it allows for a "lean" launch that focuses on "growth first,

budgets second.

 Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Airbnb and Dropbox are all companies that use growth 

hacking techniques

Examples of growth hacking…• Hotmail is easily one of the best examples of early growth hacking in action. 

• HootSuite reports that by simply including the text "PS I love you" along with a 

link to their homepage on all emails sent using the Hotmail system, this brand 

was able to generate 12 million users in just one year.

perfect strangers.

They leveraged Craigslist

When you are filling out the form to list your bedroom on AirBNB they give you the option to 

also post the listing to Craigslist

it will show up there also, creating inbound links for you and for AirBNB as a platform.
