competence across 4 key skill areas: Speaking, Reading, Listening and Grammar. The

adaptive format efficiently determines skill level, while the interactive, business-specific

questions engage the user, and provide more relevant results to the company. Unlike other

assessments, STEP+™ focuses on Business English communication skills as opposed to

just general English language proficiency.

With the innovative speaking section, STEP+™ assesses English proficiency, pronunciation,

and “verbal communication” competence. The questions in the speaking section are

scored by native English language experts. Results are available within 48 business hours.

The results from the three other sections are available immediately upon completion of

the test.

Test scores correlate to the instructional levels in GlobalEnglish Edge™.
