1. General presentation
o Created in October 2008, COOPABANDO is a growers cooperative dedicated to produce and export fresh fruits.
o COOPABANDO has started and developed itself thanks to banana exportation toward European Union : conventional, organic and Fair Trade.
o Today, to strengthen our position as a Dominican exporter, COOPABANDO begins his diversification with other fruits and vegetables.
Who are we ?
To be a company fostering and encouraging banana production and commercialization, improving farms productivity, and producers life quality.

Mission and values
Located in Valverde Mao province, COOPABANDO growers are enjoying of his low level of rain and his sunny sky, ideal context to produce bananas.
Where are we ?
76 growers are covering approximately 800ha, spread in 6 production areas to export 300T weekly from :
Manzanillo (2h), Caucedo (4h), Haina (4h).
COOPABANDO have his own technical department which supervise and ensure quality in all packing houses. An quality evaluation is made on various boxes before putting them on the pallet.
Quality and security
We are working with GlobalGap standards to implement Good Agricultural Practices in our fields and supply a clear traceability required by our clients.
Suelo e Salute, an independent certification institution, audit each year our growers and infrastructures.

Our Bananas
Called BanAmour for his unique flavor that all banana lovers will recognize.

With our aim to maintain the best banana, COOPABANDO’s growers are working hard to:
Good Agricultural practices (GAP) Have a good infrastructure, Workers protection and wildlife protection.
Besides of GlobalGap, COOPABANDO is certificated as an Organic and Fair Trade exporter.
