First Newark Visitor Center to lease office space at 60 Park Place Military Park Building Chosen as Site to Showcase City’s Tourism Appeal The Greater Newark Convention & Visitors Bureau will open the city’s first Visitor Center at The Berger Organization’s Military Park Building, 60 Park Place in Newark, announced Brendan Berger, vice president. The group this summer signed a long-term lease for 1,875 square feet on the 21-story office tower’s first floor. New office space overlooks historic Military Park “We are thrilled to be establishing a Visitor Center and our Office space In Newark NJ on the perimeter of historic Military Park, noted Michael Davidson, executive director of the Greater Newark Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Newark is a happening place with world-class events and attractions; and this new location will enable us to introduce visitors to an endless parade of offerings, adventures and opportunities.” The Greater Newark Convention & Visitors Bureau was founded in 2008 under the Brick City Development Corporation, to serve as the city’s marketing arm. Over the past 18 months under Davidson’s direction, the organization has rolled out the “Newark Happening” brand to promote the city’s many cultural and recreational venues, hotels, restaurants and other tourism draws.
