The job role(s)/ occupations that this unit would be relevant to may include:

• Aspiring Instructional Designers • Adult Educators • Trainers / Learning Facilitators • Assessors

Assumed Attitudes, Skills and Knowledge Attitudes, skills and knowledge that the individual should preferably have to confidently undertake

the unit and to be successful subsequently on the job.

Learners are assumed to:

1. Be able to listen, speak, read and write English proficiently in a clear and confident manner (possess workplace literacy skills at the proficiency level equivalent to level 6 and above as stated in the Employability Skills WSQ framework).

2. Be keen to facilitate learning and assess adult learners through the design, reflection and continuous improvement of learning activities in an array of learning settings such as classroom, workplace and blended learning contexts.

3. Possess appropriate level subject matter specialisation and industry experience, relevant for the design, facilitation and assessment of learning.

4. Possess basic information and communication technology (ICT) skills.

5. Be able to source and analyse relevant materials from the workplace, library, internet or online databases for design of learning resources.
