After completing this course, students should be able to perform the following common office tasks on a Windows computer: Accurately type given English text on a computer. Understand the basics of computers. Understand and use some computer applications such

as word processing, spreadsheets and multimedia presentation

applications. Understand and use some web-based applications such

as Internet Search, Email and Instant Messaging. Communicate with other people by using e-mail.

CCIP - EXIT PROFILE After completing this course, students should be able to perform the following common office tasks on a Windows computer: Accurately type given English text on a computer. Understand the basics of computers Understand and use some computer applications such as

graphics, word processing, spreadsheets and multimedia applications.

Understand and use some web-based applications such as Internet Search, Email, Instant Messaging and Collaborative Documents.

Communicate, collaborate and create products such as brochures, flyers, budgets, websites and others, which can be useful in their personal life, in a job or in starting and running a small business

Develop a product portfolio and showcase it to a select audience.

Possess knowledge of Basic IT; manipulate a large amount of data for a specific purpose by using Microsoft Office Excel 2007.

Accurately type given English text on a computer Prepare professional documents by using Microsoft Office

IT: COURSE OBJECTIVE After completing this course, students should be able

to perform the following common office tasks on a Windows computer: Make calculations by using the computer’s calculator. Arrange files and folders on the computer. Search for files and folders on the computer. Create and format documents by using the Microsoft Word

program. Present information with text, pictures, and other features

by using the Microsoft PowerPoint program. Make a spreadsheet that has values and calculations by

using the Microsoft Excel program. Search for information on the Internet. Communicate with other people by using e-mail. Type comfortably on a computer keyboard at a speed of at

least 30 words per minute without any mistakes.
