MEASURE TOOLS for MEASURING

THIS IS A SQUARE (escuadra)

We use a square to measure and mark right angles

We use the tape measure to measure things in centimeters and millimeters

We use measure tools (instrumentos de medida) to measure (medir) objects

HOLDING TOOLS for FIXING

Thisis a BENCH VICE (Tornillo de banco)

This is a F-CLAMP (Sargento)

We use holding tools (herramientas de sujeción) to fix (sujetar) objects

SAWS for SAWING

This is a HANDSAW (serrucho). We use the handsaw to cut wood boards

This is a COPING SAW (sierra de marquetería). We use the coping saw to cut plywood

This is a HACKSAW (sierra de arco). We use the hacksaw to cut small pieces of wood, metals and plastic

We use saws (sierras) to saw (serrar) materials

FILES and SANDPAPER for SMOOTHING

This is a FILE (lima)

We use a file to file (limar) materials

We use sand paper to sand (lijar) the wood

We use a screwdriver to screw (atornillar) screws (tornillos)

These are pliers (alicates)
