Securing your child
Should you wish to lengthen the belts, release the harnessbuckle and lift the central adjuster at the front of the seatand pull the shoulder harnesses forwards.
Pull the two buckle latches off the seat and the buckleforwards. Sit your child in the seat. Place the two bucklelatches together and then connect the visible metal part tothe buckle. Lock the system by tipping it forwards slightly. An audible click will be heard.
Check that the belts are not twisted.
Only if the harness straps are positioned correctlyand securely will your child have optimum protection. Therefore the belt length should be correct when yourchild wears different clothing. Tighten the sytem by pullingthe belt on the central adjuster.
The pelvis belts pad should be located to ensure that itcovers the route of the pelvis belts, make sure the harnessis fi rmly adjusted.
Ensure that the cover does not become jammed beneaththe adjustment button so that the blocking function is notimpaired. To remove the child release the belt system bypushing the red buttom.
TRIMAX belt and buckle padding
The car seat TRIMAX is supplied with a harness systemfixed on the back rest.
When the child is secured with the 5-point central harnessthe belt and buckle pads have to be correctly adjustedto the child.
Selection of suitable shoulder strap height
The height of the shoulder straps must be adjusted tothe body size of the child. The belts should be threadedthrough the slots in the back rests as close to the shoulderheight of the child as possible.
As a guide to this:• Bottom shoulder strap slots for children up to approx.
1,5 years of age• Middle shoulder strap slots for children up to approx.
2,5 years of age• Top shoulder strap slots for children up to approx.
3,5 years of age
The pads are removed by pulling them over the beltsand then disconnecting them from the yoke at the rearof the seat.To re-position the seat belt they have to be taken outthrough the back rest. If you adjust the height of the seatbelts you also have to adjust the height position of thepads to the same height.
For conversion purposes, the belt pads in the backrestare pulled out backwards. For installation the pads are pulled through the back restfrom the back afterwards the harness system has to bethread through the belt pads and the back rest and bereattached to the yoke at the back of the seat. Please make sure that the seat belts are the same heightposition and not twisted.
Recline position
The TRIMAX can be placed in a sitting or in a recliningposition, the reclined position is reached by pushing therelease bar downwards and pulling the seat in a forwarddirection until it is firmly fixed.
To return to the upright position, push the adjusting handleand slide the seat backwards.

Only suitable for vehicles with three-point seat belts orstatic lap belts which are approved under ECE RegulationNo. 16 or a comparable standard. Lap belts must not beused for the Image booster cushion.
This is a ”Universal” child restraint. It‘s approved toRegulation No.44,04 series of amendments, for generaluse vehicles and it will fit most, but not all, car seats.
A correct fit is likely if the vehicle manufacturer hasdeclared in the vehicle handbook that the vehicle is capableof accepting a „Universal” child restraint for this age group. This child restraint has been classified as „Universal” undermore stringent conditions than those which applied toearlier designs which do not carry this notice.
If in doubt, consult either the child restraint manufactureror the retailer.
Only suitable for vehicles with a three-point safety beltwhich has been tested and approved according to ECEregulation no. 16 or a comparable standard.
Attention
The child’s car safety seat TRIMAX was tested by simu-lating a frontal collision with a solid obstruction at therate of 50 km/h.This corresponds to the international regulation ECE R 4404 all safety systems are based on. Depending on theseriousness of an accident these child restraint systemswill prevent or leirce injuries of children between 8 monthsand 4 years or weighing 9 kg (20 lbs.) to 18 kg providedthat they are used according to the instructions.
Please note that no safety system, whether for childrenor adults, can replace your responsible and attentivebehaviour when on the road.
The seat should not be carried unsecured in your car, even if there is no child in it, otherwise it could injurethe occupants in the event of an accident. You shouldtherefore keep the diagonal belt on while driving.
