Hyundai Eon, the entry levelglobal small car from thestable of Hyundai Motorsmight face toughcompetition to newlaunching Datsun's smallcar. Recently, Nissan which isreviver of Datsun brand hasannounced that it willlaunch sub-Rs 4 lakh cars inIndia under its Datsunbrand.

The company reported that the new Datsun small car will give rigid competition toMaruti Alto, Wagon R, Hyundai Eon, Santro and Tata Nano. Currently, India's entrylevel small car market is showing high growth and all the car makers of India takinginterest in this segment. So, Nissan India will also enter this segment very. The newDatsun small car will be available between Rs 3 lakh to Rs. 4 lakh which is expected toprovide a rigid competition to Eon, Alto, Nano and Chevrolet Spark. Right now,Hyundai Eon price, Tata Nano price and Maruti Alto price are also under Rs 4 lakh.

The Japanese second largest automaker, Nissan is reviving the Datsun brand and hasplans to launch two Datsun cars in India, Russia and Indonesia, because countrieshave buzz demand for entry level small cars. And all these new launching Datsun carswill be offered as entry level. The company will start these new Datsun cars launch bythe end of year. The first entry level small car of Datsun will be offered under thestarting price range of Nissan Micra. So, a tough competition will be available to see inIndian small car market.
