“You have a whole generation that grew up on social media; young people are having their mobile devices all the time, and it’s just natural they would gravitate a video.” [8]

Unlike social media sites like Facebook, where people seems to share onlytheir best, most polished moments.
This encourages social comparison, and makes people feel more envious
as they spend more time browsing on sites. [6]

It allows us to participate in other lives, probably something bigger than ourselves. []

The concept of live streaming for individuals could assemble to “future friendship”:
With a wider range of emotions communicated online, you'll know when it’s time for an emergency happy hour, even at 1 p.m. [1]

On the other hand, It’s forcing us to confront unique privacy and safety issues. For example, capturing copyrighted content; whether or not to ask permission when people appear in your live broadcasts; and there have also been reports of bullying and sexual harassment on Periscope. [3] After all, we live our lives in a world where the Internet records everything and forgets nothing. [11]

Live-stream video sites make it feels as if we’re on the cusp of a new era of social media: A time when anyone, anywhere can broadcast live and receive nearly instantaneous feedback. [3]

Everyone can, and has become a media company from now. Take your chance.
