There’s somethin’ ‘bout the wayThe street looks when it’s just rainedThere’s a glow off the pavementYou walk me to the carAnd you know I wanna ask you to dance right thereIn the middle of the parking lot, yeah, oh yeah

We’re drivin’ down the roadI wonder if you knowI’m tryin’ so hard not to get caught up nowBut you’re just so cool, run your hands through your hairAbsent mindedly makin’ me want you

CHORUSAnd I don’t know how it gets better than thisYou take my hand and drag me head firstFearlessAnd I don’t know why but with you I’d danceIn a storm in my best dress…Fearless

So baby drive slow ‘til we run out of roadIn this one horse town, I wanna stay right hereIn this passenger seatYou put your eyes on meIn this moment nowCapture it, remember it

REPEAT CHORUS…Oh oh

Well you stood there with me in the doorwayMy hands shake, I’m not usually this way butYou pull me in and I’m a little more braveIt’s a first kiss, it’s flawless, really somethin’It’s fearless, oh oh oh oh yeah

REPEAT CHORUS 2 TIMES

Oh, oh…Oh yeah

You take a deep breath and you walk through the doorsIt’s the morning of your very first dayYou say hi to your friends you ain’t seen in a whileTry and stay out of everybody’s wayIt’s your freshman year and you’re gonna be hereFor the next four years in this townHopin’ one of those senior boys will wink at you and sayYou know I haven’t seen you around, before

CHORUSCause when you’re fifteen andSomebody tells you they love youYou’re gonna believe themAnd when you’re fifteen, feeling likeThere’s nothing to figure outWell count to ten, take it inThis is life before you knowWho you’re gonna be…Fifteen

You sit in class next to a redhead named AbigailAnd soon enough you’re best friendsLaughing at the other girls who think they’re so coolWe’ll be out of here as soon as we canAnd then you’re on your very first date and he’s got a carAnd you’re feeling like flyin’And your mamma’s waitin’ up and you’re thinkin’ he’s the oneAnd you’re dancin’ ‘round your room when the night endsWhen the night ends

CHORUSCause when you’re fifteen andSomebody tells you they love youYou’re gonna believe them

And when you’re fifteen and your first kissMakes your head spin ‘round butBut in your life you’ll do things greater thanDating the boy on the football teamBut I didn’t know it at fifteen

When all you wanted was to be wantedWish you could go backAnd tell yourself what you know now

Back then I swore I was gonna marry him somedayBut I realized some bigger dreams of mineAnd Abigail gave everything she had to a boyWho changed his mindAnd we both cried

CHORUSCause when you’re fifteen andSomebody tells you they love youYou’re gonna believe themAnd when you’re fifteen, don’t forget to look before you fallI’ve found time can heal most anythingAnd you just might find who you’re supposed to beI didn’t know who I was supposed to be…At fifteen

La la la, la la la…La la la la…La la la, la la laLa la la la…La la la, la la la

Your very first day…You take a deep breath girlYou take a deep breath as you walk through the doors

We were both young when I first saw youI closed my eyes and the flashback startsI’m standing there on a balcony in Summer airI see the lights see the party the ball gownsI see you make your way through the crowd and say helloLittle did I knowThat you were Romeo you were throwing pebbles‘Till my Daddy said “Stay away from Juliet”And I was crying on the staircase beggin’ you please don’t goAnd I said

CHORUSRomeo take me somewhere we can be aloneI’ll be waitin’ all that’s left to do is runYou be the Prince and I’ll be the Princess It’s a Love Story baby just say yes

So I sneak out to the garden to see youWe keep quiet cause we’re dead if they knew so close your eyesEscape this town for a little while oh oh ohCause you were Romeo, I was a Scarlet LetterAnd my Daddy said stay away from JulietBut you were everything to meI was beggin’ you please don’t go…And I said

CHORUSRomeo take me somewhere we can be aloneI’ll be waiting all that’s left to do is runYou be the Prince and I’ll be the Princess

It’s a Love Story baby just say yesRomeo save me they’re tryin’ to tell me how to feelThis love is difficult but it’s realDon’t be afraid we’ll make it out of this messIt’s a Love Story baby just say yes oh oh

I got tired of waitin’Wonderin’ if you were ever comin’ aroundMy faith in you was fadin’When I met you on the outskirts of town…And I said

CHORUSRomeo save me I’ve been feelin’ so aloneI keep waitin’ for you but you never comeIs this in my head I don’t know what to thinkHe knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and saidMarry me Juliet you never have to be aloneI love you and that’s all I really knowI talked to your Dad go pick out a white dressIt’s a Love Story baby just say yes

Oh oh…Oh oh…Cause we were both young when I first saw you

Say you’re sorry, that face of an angelComes out just when you need it to

As I paced back and forth all this timeCause I honestly believed in you

Holdin’ on the days drag onStupid girl, I shoulda known

I shoulda known

CHORUSThat I'm not a princess, this ain’t a fairy tale

I’m not the one you’ll sweep off her feetLead her up the stairwell

This ain’t Hollywood, this is a small townI was a dreamer before you went and

let me downNow it’s too late for you and your white horse

To come around

Maybe I was naïve, got lost in your eyesAnd never really had a chance

My mistake, I didn’t know to be in loveYou had to fight to have the upper handI had so many dreams about you and me

Happy endings, now I know

REPEAT CHORUS

And there you are on your kneesBeggin’ for forgiveness, beggin’ for meJust like I always wantedBut I’m so sorry

Cause I’m not your princess, this ain’t a fairytaleI’m gonna find someone somedayWho might actually treat me wellThis is a big world, that was a small townThere in my rearview mirror disappearin’ nowAnd it’s too late for you and your white horseNow it’s too late for you and your white horseTo catch me now

Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa ohTry and catch me now, ohIt’s too late to catch me now

You’re on the phone with your girlfriendShe’s upset, she’s going off about something that you saidCause she doesn’t get your humor like I do

I’m in the room it’s a typical Tuesday nightI’m listening to the kind of music she doesn’t likeAnd she’ll never know your story like I do

But she wears short skirts, I wear t-shirtsShe’s cheer captain and I’m on the bleachersDreamin’ ‘bout the day when you’ll wake up and findThat what you’re lookin’ for has been here the whole time

If you could see that I’m the one who understands youBeen here all along so why can’t you seeYou belong with meYou belong with me

Walkin’ the streets with you in your worn out jeansI can’t help thinkin’ this is how it ought to beLaughin’ on a park bench thinkin’ to myself, hey isn’t this easy

And you’ve got a smile that could light up this whole townI haven’t seen it in a while since she brought you downYou say you’re fine I know you better than thatHey whatcha doin’ with a girl like that

She wears high heels, I wear sneakersShe’s cheer captain and I’m on the bleachersDreamin’ ‘bout the day when you’ll wake up and findThat what you’re lookin’ for has been here the whole time

If you could see that I’m the one who understands youBeen here all along so why can’t you seeYou belong with meStandin’ by waitin’ at your back doorAll this time how could you not know babyYou belong with meYou belong with me

Oh I remember you drivin’ to my house in the middle of the nightI’m the one who makes you laugh when you know you’re ‘bout to cryI know your favorite songs and you tell me ‘bout your dreamsI think I know where you belong, I think I know it’s with me

Can’t you see that I’m the one who understands youBeen here all along so why can’t you seeYou belong with meStandin’ by waitin’ at your back doorAll this time how could you not know babyYou belong with meYou belong with meYou belong with meHave you ever thought just maybeYou belong with meYou belong with me

I see your face in my mind as I drive awayCause none of us thought it was gonna end that wayPeople are people and sometimes we change our mindsBut it’s killin’ me to see you go after all this time

Mmm mmm mmmMmm mmm mmm mmm mmmMmm mmm mmmMmm mmm mmm mmm mmm

Music starts playing like the end of a sad movieIt’s the kind of ending you don’t really wanna seeCause its tragedy and it’ll only bring you downNow I don’t know what to be without you around

CHORUSAnd we know it’s never simple, never easyNever a clean break, no one here to save meYou’re the only thing I know like the back of my handAnd I can’t breathe without you, but I have toBreathe without you, but I have to

Never wanted this, never wanted to see you hurtEvery little bump in the road, I’ve tried to swerveBut people are people and sometimes it doesn’t work outNothing we say is gonna save us from the fall out

REPEAT CHORUS

It’s 2am, feelin’ like I just lost a friendHope you know it’s not easy, easy for me

It’s 2am, feelin’ like I just lost a friendHope you know this ain’t easy, easy for me

CHORUSAnd we know it’s never simple, never easy

Never a clean break, no one here to save meOh, I can’t breathe without you, but I have to

Breathe without you, but I have toBreathe without you, but I have to

I’m sorry, I’m sorryI’m sorry, yeah I’m sorry

I took a chance, I took a shotAnd you might think I’m bulletproof, but I’m not

You took a swing, I took it hardAnd down here from the ground I see who you are

I’m sick and tired of your attitudeI’m feelin’ like I don’t know you

You tell me that you love me then cut me downAnd I need you like a heartbeat

But you know you got a mean streakMakes me run for cover when you’re around

And here’s to you and your temperYes, I remember what you said last night

And I know that you see what you’re doin’ to meTell me why

You could write a book on how to ruin someone’s perfect day

Well I get so confused and frustratedForget what I’m tryin’ to say, oh oh

I’m sick and tired of your reasonsI got no one to believe in

You tell me that you want me then push me aroundAnd I need you like a heartbeat

But you know you got a mean streakMakes me run for cover when you’re around

Here’s to you and your temper

Yes, I remember what you said last nightAnd I know that you see what you’re doin’ to meTell me why

Why-i-i, do you have to make me feel smallSo you can feel whole insideWhy, do you have to put down my dreamsSo you’re the only thing on my mind

I’m sick and tired of your attitudeI’m feeling like I don’t know youYou tell me that you want me then cut me downI’m sick and tired of your reasonsI’ve got no one to believe inYou ask me for my love then you push me aroundHere’s to you and your temperYes, I remember what you said last nightAnd I know that you see what you’re doin’ to meTell me whyWhy, tell me why

I take a step back, let you goI told you I’m not bulletproofNow you know

All this time I was wastin’ hopin’ you would come aroundI’ve been giving out chances every timeAnd all you do is let me downAnd it’s taken me this long baby but I figured you outAnd you think it will be fine again but not this time around

CHORUSYou don’t have to call anymoreI won’t pick up the phoneThis is the last strawDon’t wanna to hurt anymoreAnd you can tell me that you’re sorryBut I don’t believe you babyLike I did beforeYou’re not sorry, no, no, no, oh, oh

Lookin’ so innocentI might believe you if I didn’t knowCoulda loved you all my lifeIf you hadn’t left me waitin’ in the coldAnd you got your share of secretsAnd I’m tired of being last to know, woahAnd now you’re asking me to listen cause it’s worked each time before

CHORUSBut you don’t have to call anymoreI won’t pick up the phoneThis is the last strawDon’t wanna hurt anymoreAnd you can tell me that you’re sorryBut I don’t believe you babyLike I did beforeYou’re not sorry, no, no, oh, ohYou’re not sorry, no, no, oh, oh

You had me crawlin’ for you honeyAnd it never would’ve gone away noYou used to shine so bright but I watched all of it fade

CHORUSSo you don’t have to call anymoreI won’t pick up the phoneThis is the last strawThere’s nothin’ left to beg forAnd you can tell me that you’re sorryBut I don’t believe you babyLike I did before

You’re not sorry, no, no, oh, ohYou’re not sorry, no, no, oh, oh

He is sensible and so incredible And all my single friends are jealous

He says everything I need to hear and it’s like I couldn’t ask for anything better

He opens up my door and I get into his car And he says you look beautiful tonight

And I feel perfectly fine

CHORUSBut I miss screaming and fightin’ and kissin’ in the rain

And it’s 2am and I’m cursin’ your nameYou’re so in love that you act insane

And that’s the way I loved you Breakin’ down and comin’ undone

It’s a roller coaster kinda rush And I never knew I could feel that much

And that’s the way I loved you

He respects my space And never makes me wait

And he calls exactly when he says he will He’s close to my mother

Talks business with my father He’s charming and endearing

And I’m comfortable

REPEAT CHORUS

He can’t see the smile I’m fakin’ And my heart’s not breakin’ Cause I’m not feelin’ anything at all And you were wild and crazy Just so frustrating intoxicating Complicated, got away by some mistake and now

CHORUSI miss screaming and fightin’ and kissin’ in the rain It’s 2am and I’m cursin’ your name I’m so in love that I acted insane And that’s the way I loved you Breakin’ down and comin’ undoneIt’s a roller coaster kinda rush And I never knew I could feel that much And that’s the way I loved you oooh oh oh oh

Oh and that’s the way I loved youOh, oh, oh, woahOh, oh, oh, woahNever knew I could feel that much And that’s the way I loved you

Once upon a time, I believe it was a Tuesday when I caught your eyeAnd we caught onto somethin’I hold onto the night, you looked me in the eye and told me you loved me

Were you just kiddingCause it seems to me, this thing is breaking downWe almost never speakI don’t feel welcome anymoreBaby what happened, please tell meCause one second it was perfect, now you’re halfway out the door

CHORUSAnd I stare at the phone, he still hasn’t calledAnd then you feel so low you can’t feel nothin’ at allAnd you flashback to when he said forever and alwaysOh oh, and it rains in your bedroomEverything is wrongIt rains when you’re here and it rains when you’re goneCause I was there when you said forever and always

Was I out of line, did I say something way too honest, made you run and hideLike a scared little boyI looked into your eyesThought I knew you for a minute, now I’m not so sure

So here’s to everything comin’ down to nothin’Here’s to silence that cuts me to the coreWhere is this going, thought I knew for a minute, But I don’t anymore

REPEAT CHORUS

You didn’t mean it baby…I don’t think soOh, oh oh

Back up, baby, back up…Did you forget everything?Back up, baby, back up…Did you forget everything?

You see it rains in your bedroomEverything is wrongIt rains when you’re here and it rains when you’re goneCause I was there when you said forever and always

CHORUSOh, I stare at the phone, he still hasn’t calledAnd then you feel so low you can’t feel nothin’ at allAnd you flashback to when we said forever and alwaysAnd it rains in your bedroom…Everything is wrongIt rains when you’re here and it rains when you’re goneCause I was there when you said forever and alwaysDidn’t mean it babyYou said forever and always yeah

I’m five years old it’s gettin’ cold I’ve got my big coat onI hear your laugh and look up smiling at you I run and runPast the pumpkin patch and the tractor rides, look now the sky is goldI hug your legs and fall asleep on the way home

I don’t know why all the trees change in the fallI know you’re not scared of anything at allDon’t know if Snow White’s house is near or far awayBut I know I had the best day with you today

I’m thirteen now and don’t know how my friends could be so meanI come home cryin’ and you hold me tight and grab the keysAnd we drive and drive until we found a town far enough awayAnd we talk and window shop till I forgot all their names

I don’t know who I’m gonna talk to now at schoolBut I know I’m laughin’ on the car ride home with youDon’t know how long it’s gonna take to feel okayBut I know I had the best day with you today

I have an excellent fatherHis strength is making me strongerGod smiles on my little brotherInside and out he’s better than I am

I grew up in a pretty house and I had space to runAnd I had the best days with you

There is a video I found from back when I was threeYou set up a paint set in the kitchen and you’re talkin’ to meIt’s the age of princesses and pirate ships and the Seven DwarfsDaddy’s smart and you’re the prettiest lady in the whole wide world

And now I know why all the trees change in the fallI know you were on my side even when I was wrongAnd I love you for giving me your eyesStaying back and watchin’ me shine and I didn’t know if you knewSo I’m takin’ this chance to say that I had the best day with you today

Change written by Taylor Swift

And it’s a sad picture, the final blow hits youSomebody else gets what you wanted againYou know it’s all the same, another time and placeRepeating history and you’re getting sick of itBut I believe in whatever you doAnd I’ll do anything to see it through

CHORUSBecause these things will change…Can you feel it now? These walls that they put up to hold us back will fall downThis revolution, the time will come…For us to finally winWe sing Hallelujah, we sing Hallelujah oh

So we’ve been outnumbered…Raided and now corneredIt’s hard to fight when the fight ain’t fairWe’re getting’ stronger now…Find things they never foundThey might be bigger…But we’re faster and never scaredYou can walk away, say we don’t need thisBut there’s somethin’ in your eyes…Says we can beat this

REPEAT CHORUS

Tonight we’ll stand, get off our kneesFight for what we’ve worked for all these yearsAnd the battle was long, it’s the fight of our livesBut we’ll stand up champions tonight

It was the night things changed…Do you see it now? These walls that they put up to hold us back fell downIt’s a revolution, throw your hands upCause we never gave inAnd we’ll sing Hallelujah, we sang Hallelujah…Hallelujah

Page 15: Taylor Swift - Fearless (Karaoke) Digital Booklet

This album is called “FEARLESS”, and I guess I’d like to clarify why we chose that as the title. To me, “FEARLESS” is not the absence of fear. It’s notbeing completely unafraid. To me, FEARLESS is having fears. FEARLESS is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, FEARLESS is living in spite ofthose things that scare you to death. FEARLESS is falling madly in love again, even though you’ve been hurt before. FEARLESS is walking into yourfreshmen year of high school at fifteen. FEARLESS is getting back up and fighting for what you want over and over again…even though every time you’ve triedbefore, you’ve lost. It’s FEARLESS to have faith that someday things will change. FEARLESS is having the courage to say goodbye to someone who onlyhurts you, even if you can’t breathe without them. I think it’s FEARLESS to fall for your best friend, even though he’s in love with someone else. And when someoneapologizes to you enough times for things they’ll never stop doing, I think it’s FEARLESS to stop believing them. It’s FEARLESS to say “you’re NOT sorry”,and walk away. I think loving someone despite what people think is FEARLESS. I think allowing yourself to cry on the bathroom floor is FEARLESS. Letting go is FEARLESS. Then, moving on and being alright…That’s FEARLESS too. But no matter what love throws at you, you have to believe init. You have to believe in love stories and prince charmings and happily ever after. That’s why I write these songs. Because I think love is FEARLESS.
