Advantages of sourcing images this way:
The advantages of sourcing images this way is that you can easily access books by looking for them in library's or online. These books are sorted into specific category's so you can find the things you are looking for a lot quicker than doing it online through Google or other online services.
Disadvantages of sourcing images this way:
The disadvantages are that you doing get as high quality images by using the scanner to scan the images and can often see shadows and crease marks from the pages of the book. Also as I found its hard to get some books flat in the scanned so you end up with glares from the scanned on the pages.

Advantages of sourcing images this way:
The advantages of this is that it gives you a extremely quick and easy way to find something on the most specific categories.
Disadvantages of sourcing images this way:
Images can often be low res therefore leading to images being in a small format with no room to shape and size to your needs without losing quality.Not all images are free for peoples use and can often be protected by copyright and other things to protect peoples images like water marks.

Advantages of sourcing images this way:
The advantages of this is that it allows you to use images without worrying about publishing them into the world as you have been given permission to use them if they are copyright free sites.
Disadvantages of sourcing images this way:
Some disadvantages of this is that you are very limited on images and wont be able to source as many as other places like Google which limits you when trying to get the right size or the right image for you.

Advantages of sourcing images this way:
The advantage of doing this is that because its your work you are obviously open to use it when and wherever you like as it is owned by you. You could also charge people a commission rate for your which would then stop other people from just using your work for open world production pieces.
Disadvantages of sourcing images this way:
One of the main disadvantages of this is that your skills may not be good enough to produce your own images or if the client you may be using them for doesn’t like them it will take time to make more or to change them.

Advantages of different resolutions:
The advantage of different resolutions is that it allows you to get higher quality images for some things and if you want a smaller file size and arent that bothered about the quality you could use the smaller resolution size to save space.
Disadvantages of different resolutions:
The main disadvantages of this is that if you go for the larger resolution it will take it more storage space and make the file larger. But if you pick the smaller res image it gives you worse quality if wanting to display it on something bigger like a billboard.

Explain the changes you made to the image and explain why you made those changes:
When manipulating this image I toned down the saturation as I felt it was overly saturated and bright in the background which drew the attention away from the pitch in the foreground. It did make the picture look more washed out but I think to display this on a printed board it is less in your face and would therefore make it easier for someone to apply other things on top of the image maybe like some text. It would be difficult to apply text on the original image.
