❖ This is the establishing shot, we are introduced to the character. We quickly learn that it’s a montage style video. The shots are slow towards the beginning as they match the pace of the song. It’s quite an emotional song, and the images match the emotion.

❖ The shots continue to follow through, I really like the effect that they have edited throughout - which is shots of him as a child replayed when he is older. I think it’s really effective and I would like to incorporate it in my own video.

❖ These shots also have some long pauses on them, which lets you focus on the characters emotion - and perhaps closer and more personal to the artist.

❖ These shots show him learning, which I think is a really concept within this video. Everyone has to start somewhere and this artist is a really example of when ‘things get hard’ you shouldn’t just give up.

❖ This image shows the character taking his first steps ‘it will get easier’, a lot of the images have a lot of hidden messages which I think is really important and gives the video meaning.

❖ This represents the character getting older, perhaps wiser.

❖ A powerful image showing the boys foot being touched by an elder, perhaps representing love and peace. The image first starts wide and then zooms in perhaps representing the importance.

❖ I think this represents that everyone has down points, and being and artist isn’t always plain sailing and this shot shows his fans things do get tough but the outcomes are worth it.

❖ Here is an example of the match of different ages - really effective showing how somethings just don’t change.

❖ This shows how his success. Not only that, how happy it has made him.

❖ ‘You at the top of the mountain?’. This is one of the ending shots, perhaps representing the character got to where he wanted to in the end, but to get to the top you have to climb high.

❖ Like all home videos, it ends with a typical blue screen - a really nice touch.
