Proposal

As a media production specialist approaching the end of my two year games design course, I am going to demonstrate the current

extent of my skills and abilities by creating a unique and fully playable environment, by managing and independently devising

production through the stages of pre-production, production and post-production.

I have devised and reviewed some ideas of what type of playable 3D environment to create and have decided to create an

environment suitable to people of all ages to explore, particularly young children and creative, open minded adults. I will be

showcasing my skills in environment design, 3D modelling and my creative ability. I have chosen to create an environment that I

consider "cute", as I want to show how far my imagination can go and how broad my 3D modelling and environment creation abilities

stretch, as well as my ability to create a product for a target audience with particular interests different to my own.

Finalized idea

After much thought and debate amongst myself, I have decided that my final major project will

be of a cute 3D environment featuring buildings and a child friendly environment. In my

environment there will be many different models scattered about a terrain representing a

small town, which appears to be ran by cute little bears.

Pre production plan

• Create test environment (quick and less detailed)

• Evaluate test environment

• Create design pack for all assets

• Decide on textures

Production plan

• Establish environment/add sky, ground and lighting etc.

• Import and place assets with UV maps into engine

• Test • Review• Fix and clean• Test run• Finalize• Export as executable file
