Ancillary work: Designing the inside cover of the digipak

Step1: The background

Just like the front cover and the advert I wanted to use the same dark blue gradient as it created a smoother background than a plain colour.

Step 2: Creating behind the cover graphic

When designing the graphic behind the cd cover I first wanted to go off one of the song titles, for this I chose the song CATS. As it’s a house album I decided to make the teeth all different coloured to relate to the genre as well as this the teeth are not regular cat teeth it is more a big grin, this giving the effect that its different from normality, this meaning how house is very different from pop which is considered the most popular and mainstream genre.

Step 2: Finishing the graphic

After going through a lot of different eyes, some being too cartoonish and others being too complicated to perfect edit, I finally came to a decision. These eyes were first taken from an actual cat and then changed to also fit the rainbow effect of the teeth. The space between the eyes and teeth is just enough for the hole that the cd has in the middle.

Step3: Adding the CD

To help make sure the graphic was 100% accurate I had included another layer with the CD on top of the graphic.

What needs to be added On the left side of the inside cover I want

to add image of our artist, however at this moment in time our artist has been unavailable and so it has been impossible to take the pictures I’m hoping that soon we should be able to take the pictures and thus include them, if not I may have to move the graphic behind the CD cover onto the left and add something a little more complex behind the CD.
