1. The Kerguelen Islands- Located in the southern Indian Ocean- Archipelago* consist of 300 islands- Filled with glaciers, mountains, and vast plains- Haven for seals, albatrosses, and four species of penguins.

2. Spitsbergen

- Largest and only permanently populated island of the Svalbard archipelago in northern Norway.-The 36th-largest in the world.- The island was first used as a whaling base in the 17th and 18th centuries, after which it was abandoned.- Svalbard is a breeding ground for many seabirds, and also supports polar bears and reindeer .

3. Pitcairn Islands

-A group of four volcanic islands in the southern Pacific Ocean - The four islands – Pitcairn, Henderson, Oeno and Ducie- Only Pitcairn, the second-largest island that measures about 3.6 kilometres from east to west, is inhabited.

The best time to visit the Pitcairn Islands runs from January to March, being the warmest and sunniest. During this period you can even swim in the sea.

4. Novaya Zemlya

Novaya Zemlya* – New land

-An archipelago in the Arctic Ocean in Russia and the easternmost point of Europe- Novaya Zemlya consists of two major islands, and a number of smaller islands.- The two main islands are Severny (Northern) and Yuzhny (Southern).- Novaya Zemlya was the site of more than 100 nuclear tests between 1954 and 1990.

5. Tristan da Cunha-Name of remote group of volcanic islands in the south Atlantic Ocean- It is the most remote inhabited archipelago in the world- The archipelago has a wet oceanic climate- Daily mean temperature is 14.8 °C 

6. Easter Island- The name is for a small triangular volcanic island in the South Pacific.-Located 2,088 km from Pitcairn Island- Easter Island may be the most-isolated place on the planet- The lowest temperatures are recorded in July and August and the highest in February

 This island is famous for its gigantic stone statues—the enigmatic moai. The moai means that human figured statues of Easter island. Moai are chiefly the living faces of ancestors. Almost all moai have overly large heads three-eighths the size of the whole statue

7. South Georgia - British overseas territory in the southern Atlantic Ocean.-It is a collection of islands and a chain of smaller islands known as the South Sandwich Islands.- Typical daily maximum temperatures is around 0 °C in winter and 8 °C in summer.- The climate is classified as polar.
