The Magic of Mont Blanc: A Photojourneymonkeysandmountains.com /mont-blanc-photos

While there’s no doubt that Mont Blanc is magical – especially the wildf lowers, this post is abit tongue in cheek.

You see I had my new Olympus camera with me and was trying to get more contrast between the glacier covered MontBlanc and the white clouds. I discovered a magic setting that seemed to do the trick. My photos looked really good onthe screen. It wasn’t until I got home, downloaded them that I saw the true effect of the magic setting. Not exactly the lookI was going for! Especially on 80% of my photos! But in the meantime, enjoy the magic of Mont Blanc:

Although theTour du MontBlanc (TMB)comprisesFrance, ItalyandSwitzerland, you’ll noticethere are nopictures ofSwitzerlandincluded inhere. That’sbecause ofthe two dayswe hiked inSwitzerland,Mont Blancwas coveredin cloudsand rain foran entireday. Theother dayoffered OKviews of thesummit, butnothingspecial. It’sworth noting

that on aclear daythere is analternateroute inSwitzerlandwhich isknown for itsspectacularviews. Dueto poorvisibility wedidn’t takethat route…perhapsmaybe (dareI say it?)….next time?
