The brutal truth about my AIESEC internship

IT WAS NOT EASY For five months I spent some hours in front

of the computer every day… I got rejected five times just because I am male… Sometimes I was furious and even a bit desperate…

And then all of a sudden I was checking in at Sofia airport…

And When I arrived in India I had to:

…I had to sleep here…

And I had to work here…

And I had to eat from this kitchen…

And I had to walk in these streets

And sometimes I got really frustrated…

And I hoped not to get sick…

And I hoped not to get in trouble…

I LOVED IT SO MUCH!

And you ask me:

“WHY”

Because of the breathtaking nature…

Because of the people…

Because of the places that make time go back…

Because of the animals…

Because of the things that make you think…

And they DO make you think…

Because of the opportunity to be part of another culture…

Because of the opportunity to experience a lot of cultures…

And I had the opportunity to present my culture…

Sometimes I was shocked by the differences…

A train station

The way to stop a fire

The non-gay gays

A hair-dresser

The goat that DID pee in the bus

The arranged marriages

The smoke from the burning bodies

A morning bath in Ganges…

Doing your laundry…

But in the end I realized that in fact we are all the same…

And it is good to help each other…

I loved the traineeship because I mastered some of my skills…

Ooops, that’s a horse…

The traineeship helped me get a better view of the business

world…

I loved the traineeship because it made me laugh …

Because it was so colorful…

Because I learned an important lesson..

Because I felt good…

Because it made me believe even stronger that everything is

possible..

Because it was so much of a party…

partyyyyyyyy

I said partyyyyy

BUT AFTER ALL IT ALL COMES TO THREE IMORTANT THINGS

1)It’s about caring about and loving each other no matter the

differences

2)It’s about looking to the word through your pink glasses, no matter

how hard the obstacles are

3)It’s about making your dreams come true
