위성지도를제공하고있는콩나물닷컴은공식자료에서 "휴전선접경지역은보안문제로위성사진을제공하지않고있고, 군부대나보안시설물역시위장처리하고있다"며"위성사진의보안시설물은별도의기준을따르기때문에위장처리되지않은지역은서비스허가지역으로보면된다"고설명했다. 여기서말하는 '별도의기준'이란국정원이나국토지리정보원이정한규정을뜻하고, '위장처리'란보안시설물을가리거나삭제, 또는다른지형물로임의수정하는것을의미한다.
