The insertion head drives are servo driven and controlled for precise and rapidcomponent insertion. The tooling might be programmed to insert in 1° incrementsfrom 0° to 359°. The insertion head drive is common for all machine configurations.The insertion head tooling is changed to provide the different spans that are available.

– Single clamp will lock 1 lead, and constrain 2nd lead.– 2nd lead will may not be held tight based on many factors.
• Can be fixed by larger board holes.

– Low reliability not strong part• Thins out guide jaw
– Allows flexibility in guide jaw– PPM will increase as machine runs
