Setting Your New Screen Up Setting Your New Screen Up
Setting the Screen Up First Time
You will need to set up the screen, as it has been delivered in shipping form.
Once the ropes and screen face are attached, there is no need to do this again; it
will be rolled up with all the fittings still attached.
• The key parts of the screen are in two pieces –
the screen, and the blower.
•The screen must be assembled before the first
use.
1. Take the screen out and unroll it. Please note -
red earth on the screen will discolour it
quickly. If you have red soil , we strongly
recommend the screen always be handled on recommend the screen always be handled on
top of a protective tarpaulin etc. Your screen
measures some 6.5m x 5 m when it is up, so
you need a tarpaulin that is bigger than that.
2. Unroll the black screen and the screen face
(the screen face is the silver colour oblong ).
3. You should also find bungee cords (if not
already attached to the screen) and ropes.
(these may be in the box with the blower.)
5. Lay the black screen out so it is like a photo frame.
6. Lay the silver screen out in the middle of the photo
frame(like a picture).
7. Check that the holes in the screen face match the holes
in the screen. If not turn the screen face up the other
way, or flip from left to right, until you find the best fit.
(it doesn’t have to be exact.)
8. Push a part of the loop of the bungee 8. Push a part of the loop of the bungee
cords through the screen eye hole,
then put the plastic snap fastener at
the other end of the bungee cord
through the loop, so now the bungee
is attached to the screen.
9. Clip the plastic clip to the silver screen
face
10. Tie the ropes to the ‘D’ rings.
Note - the shorter ropes are attached to the BOTTOM of the screen.
Longer ropes are attached to the top. Tie rather than use the
carbines provided, as it is stronger. The bottom has the blower
sleeve and the zip air vents.
Add ropes t the middle D rings halfway up the screen if wind is an
issue. (Middle D rings may not be on smaller screens)
Zip closed all air vents, and then follow instructions to ‘get your Zip closed all air vents, and then follow instructions to ‘get your
