Here is a project done by students using windows movie maker this summer. This was put online using mydeo- a program like youtube, but is school safe.

Good with flipcams, different video clips, or another way to use digital cameras.

Here is another movie made using movie maker- an update on the picture slideshow!

How can your students benefit from movie maker?

Check it out on your computer and play around with it. Check out the cool “automovie” feature.

Easy enough for some of our lower students to use.

Slidecasting

Slideshare.net (access from portaportal) allows students to publish their power points.

They can even add audio- great for students who have a fear of presenting!

A slidecast is a term that is used to describe an audio podcast that is combined with a slideshow

Blogging

This is a great way to communicate with students.

Let students create their math journal, reading journal, etc. online

Allows for comment without bringing home lots of notebooks and parents can see what’s going on

Allows students to add pictures or videos and give their blog personality.
