DESCRIPTION

Two senior players Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan have been rested from India’s squad for four match one-day series against West Indies. Suresh Raina is not included in the squad as he has sustained a hairline fracture in his thumb while playing against South Africa in the T20 world cup. The squad was announced by the BCCI Secretary N. Srinivasan on Wednesday. Former medium pace bowler Ashish Nehra makes a comeback after four years while Mumbai’s big-hitting allrounder Abhishek Nayar is another surprise inclusion in the 16-member squad. Also the team management has given a chance to Tamil Nadu batsmen Subramaniam Badrinath and Murali Vijay.
