THE TESTIMONY OF FAITH

Presentation by : Brother Firdaus & Sister Eeliana

Five Pillars of Islam

The Testimony of Faith Prayer Giving Zakat (Support of the Needy) Fasting the Month of Ramadan The Pilgrimage to Makkah

Testimony of Faith (Shahadah)

Islam is based on belief and worship of One God (Allah), the Creator, and belief that Muhammad is the last in a long line of prophets and messengers.

Muslims affirm their belief by declaring the shahadah, or testimony of faith:

"I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad

is his Messenger."

Testimony of Faith (Shahadah)

This statement is repeated several times throughout the day.

Testimony of Faith (Shahadah)

It is important because : -

By saying shahadah, a Muslim acknowledges both his submission to God the Creator and his acceptance of Prophet Muhammad's teachings.

Testimony of Faith (Shahadah)

“ There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah."
