B. Jesus’ Actions1) Matthew 4:4, 7, 10

a. 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.’”

b.  7 Jesus said to him, “On the other hand, it is written, ‘YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.’”

c. 10 Then Jesus *said to him, “Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.’”

C. How Is Our Love For The Word Of God?

1) Psalms 1:1-3

Psalms 1:1-31 How blessed is the man who does not walk in 

the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! 

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 

3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, 

Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; 

And in whatever he does, he prospers.

2) Love For PrayerA.Psalm s 116:1-2  1 I love the LORD, because He hears My voice and my supplications. 2 Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.1)Reasons For This Attitude:

a. Answered Prayers (Vs. 1-2)

Psalms 116:12-1312 What shall I render to the LORD For all His benefits toward me? 

13 I shall lift up the cup of salvation And call upon the name of the 

LORD.

1) Philippians 4:6-7 - 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

2) 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – “17 pray without ceasing;”

3) Hatred For False Ways

A.Psalm s 119:104 104 From Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way.1)Reasons For This Attitude:

a. An Understanding of God’s Precepts (Vs. 104)

b. Obedience (Psalms 101:3-4, 6-7)

Psalms 101:3-4, 6-73 I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not fasten its 

grip on me. 4 A perverse heart shall depart from 

me; I will know no evil.

Psalms 101:3-4, 6-76 My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; He who walks in a blameless way is the 

one who will minister to me. 7 He who practices deceit shall not 

dwell within my house; He who speaks falsehood shall 

not maintain his position before me.
