Build a Small Business Website Using Wix

USING WIX

Sign Up for a Wix account at

www.wix.com.

Let’s get started.

Follow the on screen prompts,

answering a few quick questions.

Select a Template.

We recommend the Home

Improvement template from the list

of Business templates.

Click on Business, (from the menu

on the left) then click Services &

Maintenance.

Edit PagesYou should already have your site map and content done in the PLAN stage.

Once you’ve selected your template, let’s just keep a few of the pages already built.

Edit the Main Navigation menu by hovering and select Manage Menu.

Using the editor on the left, drag and drop pages accordingly and click the (...) to expand more options to rename your pages.

Start editing the content of your new site.

Hover over the section or the element of the page you'd like to edit. Grab your content you've already created and replace accordingly!

Jump to a different page to edit by using the tool bar across the top left hand side (next to the Wix logo) and select/add pages from there.

Upgrade your account and grab your domain.

Start by clicking the Site button from the top navigation menu. From here you can edit your Settings on your new site, but for now, let's connect your custom domain.

Choose to connect a custom domain or use the Free Wix.com domain.

We recommend connecting your own custom domain like myawesomesite.com
