Deep Blue Days
Facing Deep Seas challenges
©Ifremer
A reservoir of energy, mineral and biological resources, the deep ocean is one of the new challenges.
The fast growing world population and several large emerging countries are demanding resources at an ever-increasing rate, and land-based resources become scarce.
In this context, resources of the ocean are attracting an increasing interest from the international community.
However, due to extreme environmental conditions, the responsible use of these (mostly) non-renewable resources is a complex issue, with many challenges to overcome.
Deep Blue Days will be of significant interest to:
Research institutes, academia, industries, local authorities, governmental organizations, science parks, clusters…
