Brest University Hospital employs 6500 people, including 500 physicians. Care, teaching and research are its assignement, it has 9 research units and its clinical investigation center is among the largest in France. Innovation is at the heart of its concerns with over 1000 clinical research in progress, including more than 120 initiated by the Brest University Hospital - phase 1 to 4 in France and Europe
Information is at the heart of the research project of the LaTIM, it is integrated by researchers into methodological solutions for the sole purpose of improving the actual medical benefit. A strong dynamic of translational research is integrated into the national landscape of research, LaTIM is present in 2 LabEx, 1 National Infrastructure (France Life Imaging), 1 mutualized industrial research institute. The research developed in the unit also enjoys strong international recognition through more than 10 awards received in 5 years.
