HUB 365 is a definitive expression of the ministry assignment led by Linton C. Beckles - Senior Pastor of CLC Walthamstow.

• The term Hub as an expression describes the needfor unified efforts on addressing common issues andconcerns in our community 365 days a year.

BACKGROUND

HUB 365 - Background

1. Through Blogging and article writing address andfeedback on “issues of impact” in the communityon Youth, Young Families, Individuals and Groupswho are at-risk, vulnerable and disadvantaged. HUB365 have identified these as the ‘target group’ of it’sfocus.

2. Through first hand feedback with young people,members and leaders in the community and agencies,especially the families experiencing ‘direct impact’ fromgang related street violence and fatalities.

HUB 365 has identified the need for cohesion ofagencies in all sectors of the community to be mademore visible to the community for a more unifiedapproach to intervention, prevention and deterrent of young people potentially open to entering into gang lifestyle.

1. Collect reports, communicate with key people atleadership and grass roots levels with a view todeveloping a strategy for mission in Waltham Forest as a primary model for addressing COHESIVEACTION on “issues of impact” in our community.

2. Identify the key needs of a strategy:a. Cohesive Strategy for community sectors against

impacting issues “SAY NO to Street Violence…”b. Cohesive Action for churches to engage at grass

roots level for spiritual and practical solutions on“issues of impact” in our community.

1. Develop a local map for visibility to the specificfunctions, activities and services available throughthe statutory, public, voluntary and private sectorsthat are particular to the identified target groupsand the community at large.

2. Develop a virtual and physical nerve centre for Hub365’s mission of creating a map for cohesivecommunity action on “issues of impact” on youthand young families.

3. Design an online map as a site and App DownloadTool on who's doing what, where, when and why forthe most critical issues in the community startingwith the HIGH PRIORITY gang related violence.

4. Develop, package and present STOPlight*programmes to build bridges of hope for the on the fringe target groups; ‘peer groups’ and‘wannabe gangsters’ Youth (7-19), (including at-riskand vulnerable) and young families.

5. Train and deploy specialist teams of Teachers,Mentors and Counsellors for delivering STOPlightprogrammes and projects to target groups in thecommunity at large and in schools.
