Safia Minney and her team are spearheading the project Slave to Fashion which gives an in-depth view of human trafficking in our clothing supply chain.

When you think ‘pioneer’, think People Tree. 25 years ago, as the fashion industry began to boom and people were making profits off the backs of others, Safia Minney, founder of People Tree, decided to do things differently. Before this even became a ‘thing’ People Tree was working with Fairtrade co-ops and farmers in developing countries to ensure that people and the planet were sustained. They continue on in that tradition.

Braintree is not okay with just the concept of creating thoughtful clothing, they believe it is the only way to be. Strong supporters of slow fashion, Braintree puts painstaking effort into every part of their supply chain. Sweatshop

A shop or factory in which employees work for long hours at low wages and under unhealthy conditions.

The clothing industry is notorious for these. Watch a short documentary of young Norwegian bloggers who went to spend a few days with the people who make our clothes. This was recorded about

2 years ago. Much is still the same. However, with easy options like Thread Life, we can change this injustice.
