Descriptive adjectives

Descriptive adjectives: Words that function to describe nouns. Specifically, adjectives describe the action, state, or quality that nouns refer to.

Adverbs

Adverbs: Used at the end of a sentence to modify the verb. Used to modify adjectives. Are easily recognized because they mostly end in -ly.

Linking words

Linking words help you to connect ideas and sentences, so that people can follow your ideas.

Activity I: Colony

It is the year 2345. The earth has been destroyed in a nuclear war. The survivors have decided to stat a new colony on the planet Ashah.

Unfortunately there is only room in the spaceship for FIVE people. Of the ten people listed, which five do you think should go?
