HOW TO GET NICE WHITE TEETH

Dr. Marieve Rodriguez

All White Teeth Diet

Try to curb these things from your diet:

!- Black Coffee

-Glass of Red Wine -Dark Colas

-Gravies -Dark Juices

!These things can stain your teeth and make them look

dingy and yellow.

How often do you change your toothbrush? The answer is NOT ENOUGH! It is suggested that you should change your toothbrush or electronic toothbrush head AT LEAST every two months. If you don’t, you’re at risk of transferring bacteria from your toothbrush to your mouth and nobody wants that!

Clean Tongue, Happy Mouth

• Using a tongue scrapper every morning:

• Helps eliminate plague

• Helps freshen breath

• Removes build up of bacteria on your tongue

• Helps with stinky breath

Detergent Foods

Eating foods that are firm or crisp help clean teeth as you bite into them. Apples are great for that and are referred to as “Mother Natures Toothbrush.”

Other great choices are raw carrots, celery and even

popcorn!

Use apple cider vinegar in the morning before you brush your teeth. The vinegar helps remove stains, whiten teeth and also kills the bacteria that is in your mouth and gums. Who knew?!

Baking Soda

• Brush your teeth once a week with baking soda in leu of toothpaste.

• Will help remove stains, whiten teeth

• Just be sure to spit it out when you’re done brushing your teeth!

Check Your Freshness

A good tell to see if your breath is fresh is to lick your palm and smell the wet spot. If you smell something funky, it might be time for a breath mint or piece of gum. Also,

when shopping for mouthwash, make sure it’s

alcohol-free. Too much alcohol in mouthwash can dry out the tissues in your mouth.

If you can floss without looking at yourself in the mirror, that means you can floss anywhere. Work on this skill so you can floss in bed, at the office before an important meeting or even in your car (PLEASE, do not do this while driving!)

Before and After Bed

• The most crucial time to brush your teeth is when you first get up in the morning and right before you go to sleep.

• Saliva dries up at night, which causes plaque on your teeth.

• Best to get rid of it before you go to bed and when you wake up.

For the Ladies

Try to choose a medium coral or light red lipstick.

These will help make your teeth appear whiter, where as lighter colors will bring

out the yellow in your teeth.

IF YOU FOLLOW THESE TIPS…

You will end up with great looking, white teeth that you will be proud to show off.
