Intel Thinking Tools are designed to create an active learning environment where students are engaged in real world activities using tools

that help develop 21st century skills that are necessary in our

global society.

Tools are Student Centered rather than Teacher Centered.

There are a number of tools but we will review three:

Visual Ranking Tool

Seeing Reasoning

Showing Evidence

Visual-ranking tool uses higher order thinking skills, analysis

and evaluation, to order and

compare information.

Seeing Reasoning uses

mapping strategy for

analyzing cause-and-effect

relationships, creating visual

thinking.

Showing Evidence

constructs arguments based

on credibleevidence to

prove or support a position on a

topic.

Intel Thinking is researched based, free, and can be accessed from any computer with Internet connection.

Thinking Tools offer educators

a number of useful options to complete

projects while creating students’

critical thinking skills.
