Macaroni with ham & cheese (Macaroni de Oma)

Ingredients for four persons:

- 2 thick slices of ham

- 420 grams of mixed grated cheese (Mozarella/Maasdam/Cheddar)

- 100 grams of crispy fried onions

- 500 grams of small macaroni (Tiburon number 1)

PreperationFill a saucepan with water.Put a little bit of salt.

Put some olive oil and make thewater boil.

Preheat the oven up to 200ºC.

Cut the ham into squares.

When the water is boiling put the macaroni.

The macaroni has to boil for 6 minutes.

Drain the water.

Put the first half of the macaroni in an ovenproof bowl.

Mix the ham with the macaroni.

Mix the cheese with the macaroni and ham.

Take the crispy fried onions.

And mix them with the macaroni. Put the rest of the macaroni and repeat mixing the ham, cheese and the crispy fried onions.

Cover the macaroni with lots of cheese.

Until it looks like this.

Put the bowl in the oven.

Leave the macaroni until it colors gold.

This is how it should look.
