1.) Name of film

The name “Interrogation” links to

the thriller genre as it connotes

violence, crime and action.

This is similar to other movies such

as Se7en as seven stands for the 7

deadly sins. This links to the genre

of thriller as it suggests negative

activity or crime.

2.) Setting

Our setting links to the genre of

thriller as it is rundown and

isolated. It also looks like a place

where you can expect to find

illegal activity.

This is similar to the setting of the

movie “lock , stock and two

smoking barrels” as it is also a

rundown area.

3.) Costumes and Props

We used fake whiskey as our prop

for our opening sequence. This

links to the genre as it connotes

violence, crime and aggressive

behaviour.

In the movie “Sky Fall” there are

also alcoholic drinks.

4.) Camera Work

In one of our scenes, we used a

Point of View shot. This shot gave

the impression that you are the

one getting interrogated. This

gives the effect of fear therefore

creating tension. This is why it

relates to the genre of thriller.

In “Marathon Man” this type of

shot it also used in its Interrogation

scene.

5.) Editing

For our editing, we used a series of

fast pace cuts. This is because it

increases the tempo of our movie,

this creates tension. Therefore it

links to the genre of Thriller.

6.) Title Font

Our titles enters like a type

writer, this gives the

impression that the names

are criminals that which

are being noted. They are

also white on a black or

dark background. This is

because the contrasting

colours makes it easier to

read, and it connotes Evil

vs. good.

character by having him answer

a call from an unknown source.

This links to our genre of thriller as it

creates uncertainty and therefore

creates tension.

9.) Special effects

We used black and white for the

first half of our opening sequence.

This is because the black and

white effect creates mystery as

vision is limited also, the two

colours connotes the battle

between light and dark, Good

and Evil.

This effect is also found in the

thriller movie “Casino Royale”
