Introduction The project “ Online Library Management

” is developed in YII Framework using PHP and MySQL , which mainly focuses on basic operations in a library like adding new member, new books, and updating new information, searching books and recommendation system is used for retreiving the result. Collabrating filtering is used for recommendation and the algorithm is K-nearest algo by calculating the inverse of euclidean distance.

Project Scope Any education institute can make use of it

for providing information about author, content of the available books etc..

This project can further be extended by adding the facility of e-book’s, to overcome the problem of book stock in library.

Recommender systems have become extremely common in recent years and are applied in a variety of applications

Product Functionality The functions of the system include the

system providing different type of services based on the type of users.

User accounts with login facilities. List will be automatically updated . Admin Rights

Admin get information about the members and books.
