• EDF Energy intends to build four nuclear units in the UK by 2025 – subject to a robust investment framework

• EDF Energy’s target for completion of first new nuclear power station in the UK is end of 2017

• Technology choice is EPR – 1650 MWe PWR• Preferred sites are in the south of England
