Facilities Report 2014

Construction Technology Class 106 on tour of building. Balfour Beatty Superintendent has led several different classes on tours through the construction site.

First area to receive structural steel. This are is the student restrooms near front entrance.

Block wall between the Digital nurse proctor and the SIM lab space. This wall will frame the south wall up the mechanical attic space above.

The rebar cages and block work at columns has started. This is for covered walkway connecting existing bldg. to the exit foyer for the anatomy labs. A new door will be cut into block wall of existing bldg. during Christmas break.

This wall between the student restrooms and medical supplies/utilities rooms will frame the north end of the mechanical attic space. The large opening seen here is for a ventilation louver.

Scaffolding from inside the electrical room/foyer/science labs space has been removed. The two doorways here are the double door to electric room and the exit foyer door.

Space for the science labs. Far corner area will be the chemical balance room. Scaffold has been removed.

Front Entrance of Bldg.

Facing the bldg., looking to the left. This side of the bldg. will house the faculty offices, nursing fundamentals lab, chemistry labs, etc

Chemistry Lab steel erection has begun. Plumbing stub outs coming from floor are for fume hood cup sink waste lines

Physical Science lab/Electrical room structural steel erection has begun.

Steel curb for mechanical unit sits on top of beams.

Completed CMU wall forming north wall of mechanical attic space. A sloped roof will follow the diagonal steel running up side of CMU.

Looking at the courtyard area. To the left side is the meeting room, with the rotunda just to the right. Beyond the crane, where the scaffolding is, is the exterior wall of corridor 127.

Further progress made in the CMU columns for the covered walkway connecting existing bldg. to the new bldg at anatomy labs & cadaver rooms. New doorway will be cut into the existing bldg.

Structural steel has been placed at the anatomy/physiology lab. The piping on the CMU wall is for the casework installed sinks. The cylinders coming out of slab are for the duct which will run up center of student tables.

Scaffolding has been removed. This is the south side of the bldg. The opening seen here is for the automatic sliding doors at door 154A (between sim center and anatomy labs)

North wall of simulation center space and upper portion is the south wall is second floor mechanical space.

This space will be the air lock area at sliding door 154A. Sloped roof will be installed and follow the slope seen here. To the left of photo is the space for cadaver & cat storage rooms.

This is the wall between the digital nursing lab/corridor 134 and the workroom/reception office. The upper portion of wall is the east wall of the second floor mechanical area. The openings seen in upper wall are for louvers.

Steel erection in the faculty offices has just begun.
