• Women needed to embrace ICTs• Access to new technologies was a

critical for women and girls. • Embracing ICTs would allow women

and girls to advance themselves.

Strategy

• Train women and youth in ICTs• Build ICT capacity to all Youth, older

persons, women, indigenous peoples, people with disabilities and remote and rural communities

• Raise public conciousness on women’s rights using ICTs as tools

Gender Digital divide

• No country platform for ongoing platform for women on ICTs

• ICT indicators do not consist of gender disaggregated data

• Lobbying and advocacy should be ongoing

• ICT gender projects need to be promoted to help women to fully participate in the Information society

ICT Revolution

• Widening of the gap between urban and rural areas and individuals between men and women

• No equitable access to information and knowledge for all

• Need to improve connectivity• Develop gender disaggregated

indicators to measure the digital divide
