El Pretérito:is a past tense (“-ed”)
talks about what happened is a completed action action repeated specific number of times action that has a clear beginning and/or ending
In order to conjugate in preterite tense, you will use the same system
as present tense:
Tomar—in present we keep the stem which is TOMThen we add the appropriate ending
EX Present: Tomar(yo)= TomoEX Preterite: Tomar(yo)= Tomé
Pretérito endings for -ar verbs are:

Pretérito endings for –er / -ir verbs are:
