Welcome!The LMC is open every

school day from 7:30 to 3:30.

Step up to the circulation desk where you can…

…sign in or give your pass to one of the librarians,…

… pick up a pass for Learning Lab,

… return library books,…

… or renew and check out new library books, magazines, and movies.

Let me show you around the

library.

We have comfy places to visit,

read, and study.

There are 31 computers, a

scanner, and a printer for

students to use.

Important Stuff: Students must have an Internet Agreement on

file and follow SPS policies when using any

school computers.

Did you know that black & white printing for school papers and projects is available for FREE? And color printing is only 25 per page? Ruff!

There are more than 30 different

magazines and newspapers for you

to check out.

There are 1000’s of fiction titles on the tall shelves for you

to check out, including books and audio recordings.

On the shorter shelves you’ll also find 1000’s of non-fiction books to help with your school work.

The reference area is in the middle and has

great general information books like

encyclopedias, almanacs, and atlases.

How many books can I check out?

And for how long?

Great Question!

You may check out 5 items at a time.

Books can be kept for 2 weeks and renewed once.

Magazines can be kept for 1 week.

Movies and Reference Books are only checked

out for 1 night.

What if I need to

turn in a book before

7:30 or after 3:30?

Use the book return…

… located in the

hallway just

outside the

library door.

What if I don’t find the

information I need in a book?

Visit the library’s Web page…

…for databases, online resources, and writing tools,

and the library catalog.

Is there anything else

I need to know aboutthe library?

There is a work area with supplies for you to use as your working on

those big projects.

There are even great table areas for work, study, and reading.

Important Stuff: Eating and

drinking are NOT allowed in the library, so…

… THANK YOU for leaving your food and beverages here, or store them in your

backpack until you leave the library.

Still have questions and

want some help?

See librarians Mrs. Gugliotta and Mrs. Casteel for answers to

ALL your questions!
